Workforce Development Fund

The Workforce Development Fund (WDF) is distributed by Skills for Care and funded by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC).

What is the Workforce Development Fund?

The Workforce Development Fund (WDF) is distributed by Skills for Care and funded by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). This funding is available to employers across the health and social care sector and supports the provision of high quality care and continued professional development (CPD).

How it works:

Employers are given the funding money by the government to use towards the cost of training to upskill and develop their workforce.

This training is vital to ensure healthcare workers are equipped with the right skills and knowledge to be confident and competent in their job roles, as well as improving their morale.

What can we do to help?

We offer a number of options through the Workforce Development training fund, covering a range of health and social care subject areas.

The options we have available include:

  • Accredited level 2 qualifications in a range of health and social care subjects
  • Accredited learning resources to support delivery
