Skills Support for the Unemployed (SSU) is a flexible scheme co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership.

What is Skills Support for the Unemployed?

Skills Support for the Unemployed (SSU) is a flexible scheme co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) and the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership. This programme provides unemployed people across the Humber region with tailored fully-funded training opportunities, helping them to upskill and secure jobs and access work experience opportunities, Traineeships and further education opportunities.


Eligibility

The SSU programme is available to adults over the age of 19 who live in the Humber region and are unemployed.

The Humber region includes:

  • East Riding
  • Hull
  • North East Lincolnshire
  • North Lincolnshire

What can we do to help?

We offer a number of options for individuals through SSU funding, with a number of subject
areas available.

These include:

  • Essentials- Employability programme covering subjects such as job searching, CV writing, social awareness and more
  • Over 50 online auto-marked CPD short courses in a rage of subjects
