CPD Sexual Health Awareness
Unlike other sexual health training courses, this programme aims to give your learners the knowledge needed to understand sexual health issues, including sexually transmitted infections, human reproduction and contraception.
Section 1: Relationships
In this section, your learners will cover the difference between friendships and romantic relationships, the legal age for intimacy and reasons why people may enter into close relationships.
Section 2: Sexually transmitted infections
Your learners will learn about different types of STIs, how they are transmitted and their symptoms. They will also look at the effects of untreated chlamydia, HIV and AIDS.
Section 3: Human reproduction
In this section, your learners will look at human anatomy in relation to sexual health awareness, including male and female reproductive organs and the process of menstruation.
Section 4: Contraception
Your learners will cover different methods of contraception, their advantages and disadvantages and where they can be obtained from.
Section 5: The media
In this section, your learners will look at the portrayal of sex in the media and how society and the media need to change to progress sexual health awareness in modern day society.
