Mental Health Awareness Week 2018

This Mental Health Awareness Week, help us raise awareness of mental ill health and increase people\'); s knowledge and understanding of this complex topic.

One in four adults and one in ten children experience mental health conditions, and many of us know and care for people who do. It is more important than ever to understand mental health conditions so that we can support individuals in our care, and family, friends and even colleagues who may need our support in the workplace.

Our level 2 and level 3 Mental Health courses are ideal to help you gain an insight into mental health and ensure that you feel confident in recognising various conditions. They will even help you to provide support when others present symptoms.

These courses will cover a diverse array of mental health conditions, including:

• Stress

• Phobias

• Dementia

• Bipolar disorder

• Eating disorders

• Schizophrenia

• Postnatal depression

• Anxiety and depression

• Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

• Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

• Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Apply for level 2 here.

Register for level 3 here.

Too often, mental health is kept hidden due to stigma and discrimination. At The Skills Network, we want to change this, and we believe talking is the first step. Let's work together this Mental Health Awareness Week to raise awareness and tackle the stigmas attached to mental health conditions.
