Level 1 Award in Awareness of Substance Misuse
To be eligible for funding you must be aged 19 or over, have been living in the European Union for the last 3 years and have not previously completed the course you are wanting to enrol on.
If you do not complete the course, you may be liable to a £100 resource and registration fee.
Would any of your employees benefit from completing a substance misuse awareness training course? This qualification aims to introduce your employees to the dangers and risks surrounding substance misuse. They will learn about different types of substances, why people take drugs, the laws surrounding drugs, the effects of drug use and perceptions of substance misuse.
This course is split into manageable sections. These are:
Section 1: Different substances and drugs
In this section, your employees will learn what a substance is and about the different types of substances and drugs.
Section 2: Why people take drugs and the laws surrounding drugs
In this section, your employees will look at the different reasons why people choose to take drugs and the laws surrounding drugs.
Section 3: The effects of substance misuse
Your employees will consider both of substance misuse on the individual and society as a whole in this section.
Section 4: Perceptions of substance misuse
In this section, your employees will explore how substance misuse is perceived by the media and society in general.
