CPD Food Safety Awareness
This food safety CPD course will give your employees the knowledge they need to understand the key aspects of food safety and will increase their awareness of the risks and diverse health issues relating to food safety. They will learn about hygiene, food poisoning, food safety responsibilities, illnesses, contamination and protective clothing and equipment that is necessary when preparing food.
Section 1: Hygiene
Your employees will be introduced to the legal elements of food safety preparation, as well as to the importance of personal hygiene and cleaning and contamination prevention techniques. Good practice in ensuring how high levels of food safety are achieved is examined in this section.
Section 2: Food poisoning
Your employees will learn how to identify symptoms of food poisoning and how these symptoms may develop in an individual suspected of having food poisoning.
Section 3: Food safety responsibilities
Your employees will be introduced to the legal and personal responsibilities towards food safety under the Health and Safety at Work Act.
Section 4: Reporting illness
Your employees will learn about which symptoms should be reported and how long of a period is required before an individual can return to handling food after being identified with these symptoms.
Section 5: Protective clothing and equipment
This section covers the importance of wearing the correct protective clothing and equipment when working with or near food.
Section 6: Contamination
Your employees will learn about the range of precautions that must be taken to prevent the contamination of food and work surfaces.
