Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship

Course Overview

Apprentices on the Children, Young People Families Practitioner Apprenticeship Level 4 will learn to demonstrate a passion to care for children, young people and their families. They will be able to assess complex needs, implement interventions and work alongside other professionals with the goal of delivering improved outcomes.

The Skills Network offers individualised learning for each Apprentice, and heavily involves the employer with all aspects of the course to ensure progress is meaningful. In addition, a curriculum scoping exercise provides an opportunity to review prior learning and completed qualifications, with the aim of personalising Apprenticeships to fulfill their business’ needs, and therefore the Apprentices’ progress and progression.

We have the ability to individualise every Apprentices scheme of work to produce a bespoke learning plan tailored around the individual's needs by incorporating content from our e-learning catalogue. This gives a more enhanced Apprenticeship which is more beneficial to the Apprentice and the business they work in.

Any previous learning or experience is carefully considered from the start of the course to ensure that time on the programme is maximised. The Skills Network offer a strong IAG to ensure that each Apprentice understands the context of their learning, the assessment methodology and that their future career progression is carefully mapped into their journey.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Individual employers may set any entry requirements which may include:

  • Undertake the Disclosure and Barring Service process and provide the result
  • It is desirable that candidates would have achieved a level 2 in English and Maths (equivalent to GCSE Grade C or above) prior to commencing their Apprenticeship training. For those Apprentices who are yet to achieve a level 2 in English and Maths will have the opportunity to complete these qualifications during their Apprenticeship. However, a level 2 must be achieved in these areas before they qualify for entry to their end-point assessment.
