The Skills Network Launches Skills Bootcamp in Data Analytics in Hull and East Riding.

9th October 2025

The Skills Network, one of the UK’s largest online education providers, has opened enrolment for a new, Skills Bootcamp in Data Analytics delivered in partnership with Hull City Council.

Starting in September, the online programme is free to the learner and offers two flexible study routes: a 14-week pathway with one study day a week, or a faster-paced seven-week option with two study days or evenings per week. Both routes are designed to help adults over 19, including graduates, career changers and upskillers, gain the job-ready skills needed to enter the fast-growing field of data analytics.

Available to residents in areas such as Hull, Beverley, the Yorkshire Wolds, Bridlington and Withernsea, this Skills Bootcamp forms part of the UK Government’s commitment to tackling skills shortages and boosting employability across key regions.

The course is ideal for individuals who are educated to Level 5 or 6 and is well suited for graduates and people looking to retrain or make a career change, particularly into digital and data-driven roles. Applicants should have a strong interest in how data informs business decisions and a desire to gain practical, employer-led experience in a high-demand sector.

During the course, learners will engage in live online sessions covering a broad range of topics, including data analysis, Python for beginners, data visualisation, project management and data ethics. The course concludes with a final project, where learners will work with real-world data to demonstrate and apply the skills they’ve developed.

Participants will benefit from hands-on, practical training with employability at its core, access to The Skills Network’s award-winning online learning platform, and ongoing support from experienced tutors and mentors.

Wendy Dodson, Partnerships Director, Skills Bootcamps at The Skills Network, said: “This Skills Bootcamp offers a fantastic opportunity for people in Hull and East Riding to take control of their career prospects and gain the in-demand skills that employers are actively seeking. Data Analytics is one of the fastest-growing areas of the job market, and this course can open doors to exciting and sustainable career pathways.”

Cllr Linda Tock, Portfolio Holder for Hull Training at Hull City Council, added: “We are delighted to support The Skills Network in delivering this Skills Bootcamp in Data Analytics for our residents. Digital skills are vital for our city’s economic growth, and this programme offers a clear pathway into one of the most exciting and fast-growing sectors. By giving people the tools and confidence to succeed in data-driven roles, we are helping to create a stronger, more resilient workforce for Hull and the surrounding region.”

Places are limited, and funding is available to eligible Hull and East Riding residents.

Applications are now open for the September intake.
