In this unit, learners will understand the roles and responsibilities for health, safety and welfare in the workplace alongside the examination of exactly how risk assessment contributes to increased levels of health and safety and identify how to control risks.

Learners will understand the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace, as well how best to control and reduce these risks.

Unit 5: Manual handling safety at work
In this unit learners will understand the reasons for safe handling and how manual handling risk assessments contribute to good practice of health and safety.
