CPD Health and Safety in the Workplace
In the UK, health and safety training is high on every employer’s training priority list. This course will enable your employees to understand more about health and safety in the workplace, including how to identify and control risks from common workplace hazards and how risk assessments contribute to health and safety.
Section 1: Roles and responsibilities for health, safety and welfare at work
In this section, your employees will learn about employers’ and employees’ duties in relation to health, safety and welfare.
Section 2: How risk assessments contribute to health and safety
In this section, your employees will understand the meaning of ‘hazard’ and ‘risk’, how risk assessments are carried out and how they reduce accidents and ill health.
Section 3: Identifying and controlling risks from common workplace hazards
This section will teach your employees how to identify hazards in the workplace, understand how these hazards can cause harm or damage and know risk controls for common hazards.
Section 4: Procedures for responding to accidents and incidents at work
In this section, your employees will understand the common causes of accidents and ill health, what actions to take following an incident at work and the importance of recording incidents, accidents and ill health.
