CPD Understanding Depression

This course aims to give your learners the knowledge required to understand the impact and key issues surrounding depression and anxiety. This will prove beneficial for anyone who works with individuals who have depression and anyone who would like more information on this subject for personal reasons.
Upon completion of our Understanding Depression course, your learners could progress on to study the Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems, or the Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills.

Your learners will discover what psychotic depression is and the factors that are associated with it.
Section 4: Effects on the individual, family and friends
Your learners will develop their understanding of how depression affects an individual’s life, as well as the lives of their family and close friends.
Section 5: How the demands of daily life can maintain depression
This section covers the demands of modern daily life and how they can contribute to depression.
Section 6: Depression management and support
In this section, your learners will cover the possible treatments and local resources that can help those who experience depression and psychotic depression.
