CPD Understanding Equality and Diversity
This equality and diversity course aims to introduce your learners to the key issues surrounding equality and diversity. Over four sections they will cover the concepts of equality and diversity, how people’s rights and responsibilities are protected at work, working or learning in a place that promotes diversity and living in diverse communities.
Learners who have enjoyed this equality and diversity course may wish to progress onto further study such as the Level 2 Certificate in the Principles of Team Leading where they can apply their knowledge in the workplace.
Section 1: Exploring equality and diversity
In this section, your learners will look at the definitions and concepts associated with equality and diversity.
Section 2: Exploring how people’s rights and responsibilities are protected at work
Within this section, your learners will learn about prejudice and discrimination as well as the Human Rights Act (1998).
Section 3: Working or learning in a place that promotes diversity
This section covers the processes that are in place to protect and maintain equality and diversity.
Section 4: Living in diverse communities
This section covers how diversity enriches community life. Your learners will also look at the threats that exist towards equality and diversity.
